It was a cool crisp evening in Mt. Dora we ( Grandma, Katelyn, Macie, Merrik, Jayden, Alex, Landon, and myself) had just finished eating dinner in downtown and were waiting patiently for our carriage ride to start. The kids were so excited and it was early evening now and the Christmas lights were all glowing. Soon a big white horse-drawn carriage pulled in to take us on a tour of the lights... Doesn't this sound like it is going to be fun and relaxing??
WRONG!!
When the carriage pulled up we quickly started putting the kids in the carriage first Macie, Jayden, and then Alex when all of a sudden the horse started to freak out!! It was going wild and was becoming on hooked from the reigns, it was happening so fast but thanks to Aunt Kate's quick superhero moves all 3 made it off safely. It was not exactly how you want to start off a carriage ride. While we were all a little startled by that crazy horse we were reassured by the drivers that they would put us on another more calm horse and the ride would be fine. We hazardously took up their offer and went on a much smoother, slower, and SAFER carriage ride. The kids loved looking at all the lights and besides the kids wild ride it was a fun night that brought a little Christmas cheer to the evening!
