Field day

It's Field day at Sorrento Elementary and that means lots of fun games for the kids. Jayden did great in the three-legged race and won first place. In the 100 yard dash he won third place and loved racing to the finish line. Alex is unfortunately home sick with strep throat! So no field day for him. :(

Sisterhood

These girls are my best friends, soul sisters, and eternal friends. I love them all so much and we have the best memories with each other. When we are together we are always laughing and having fun. I am so blessed to have these beauties in my life. They are a great example of women of faith.

Curls!

I love this Curly head!! I love his wild head of hair, his big brown eyes, and his long eyelashes. His laugh is contagious and his smile melts my heart instantly. He is a dog lover, and a lego fanatic(even if he breaks every lego 5 minutes after we build it! We are working on being gentle with them)  He is such a special boy and one of our more feisty blessings. I couldn't imagine our family without him!

Honor roll

Another 9 weeks over and another Honor Roll to attend. I am so proud of all Jayden's hard work this year. He is so smart and works very hard to do his best in school. This grading period he worked extra hard to achieve all A's. I am more than proud to see him set a goal and work hard to attain it.  Way to go Jayden!! You can do hard things!

This is Nate, he is such a good boy and one of Jayden's best friends.

Mrs Morales is such an amazing teacher and has pushed Jayden to be his best. I am so grateful for all her hard work.

Flower pickers!

It's spring time around here and the fields are full of purple and pink flowers. I love seeing all the bright beautiful colors around, it just makes the soul happy. These little budding beauties make these manly men turn into such gentlemen. They are constantly bringing home big and little bundles of flowers to make their mommy feel special.  I hope they never grow too old to stop and pick spring flowers!

First haircut!

Today I had a hair appointment and while I was waiting for the highlights to turn I asked if Maya could get a trim. I wasn't exactly sure if she would sit still but I was pleasantly surprised. She is such a girly girl and loves to be pampered! She tackled her first haircut like a pro! I guess all those hair appointments she accompanied me on have taught her a thing a two. After her little trim was through she refused to get out of the chair. Maybe she was waiting for some highlights too! I just love this minnie me.

Easter Sunday

Here comes Peter Cottontail... hopping down the bunny trail....  Easter morning is here and I am so excited. I love seeing their faces when they round the corner to the family room to see all their treasures. Their sweet smiles make me so happy. Easter morning is usually spent opening baskets full of treats and treasures, to an egg hunt (thanks to the Easter bunny) and, then snuggling up to watch General Conference.  Its always a bonus when Conference falls on Easter Sunday because it really helps us to remember the importance of this holiday. There is nothing better than listening and learning from the Prophets and Apostles. I especially love to hear their testimonies of the Savior. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and for the atonement. And for the blessings that the atonement brings to my life.

Grandmas Easter party

Today we have big plans at Grandma's house. It's her annual Easter party with the family. Every year we go to Grandma's house for a family party. Theres swimming, games, lots of food, and of course the Easter bunny leaves some eggs! Grandma Linda works hard to make the party perfect. The best part of the party is the Easter egg hunt down at the park. The kids can hardly take the excitement of the egg hunt. They all line up with their brightly colored bags and count down to run as fast as they can to all the sprinkled eggs. It is really a sight to see 10 little kids sprinting for the eggs. It makes my heart smile to have this treasured tradition.

Grandma gave the boys a kayak for Easter! They are all very happy to be boating around today.
